A Plant Medicine Immersion at Posada NaturaENQUIRE
10 days, 9 nights of a truly holistic healing experience with specific focus on integration. This is an opportunity to be deeply nourished by the wisdom of nature with traditional Amazonian Plant Medicine Ceremonies and our supportive integration practices. Three Amazonian Plant Medicine Ceremonies are guided by highly experienced facilitators and complemented with ample time for rest and reflection. Integration takes emphasis through individual and group counseling sessions, immersion in nature, and daily yoga and meditation. Organic nutrition-focused meals, immersions in pristine rainforest, waterfalls and ocean, daily yoga and meditation classes, and individual counseling are combined to create a safe, nurturing container for your healing.
We place great importance on each participants individual needs. Healings take place during the plant medicine ceremonies, and are intended to assist each person to release blockages specific to that individual. 1:1 counseling and integration sessions are offered as needed throughout the retreat.
Our food is sourced from local, organic farms to create fresh, plant-based meals for every retreat. We believe in nourishing the human temple with nutrient dense, fresh ingredients cooked with love and intention.
Our focus in plant medicine work is on integrating the experience. Our program is designed to specifically address each person's unique process.
Our team of medicine facilitators have 20+ years experience and training in traditional indigenous lineages.
Joy Quevedo is an experienced facilitator that weaves her interdisciplinary training from various backgrounds and lineages into her healing practice . She has studied and co-facilitated ayahuasca retreats in Brazil, was a leader in a Brazilian ayahuasca church, studied Yoga traditions in Divinity school, has advanced certificates in Humanistic Existential group process and creative expression, and is trained in energy healing and hypnotherapy. She is also a Registered Nurse and worked in the fields of hospital nursing, Integrative Medicine and Hospice. At the foundation of her work, Joy believes that nature is sentient, intelligent, and sacred. She is now a recognized ceremony minister of Circle of Sacred Nature Church.
In 2001 Joy was captivated by her experience with ayahuasca in the Brazilian Amazon. She then dedicated her PhD studies at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology to deepening her understanding of transformation and healing. She completed her dissertation research entitled, “Psychospiritual Integration of an Ayahusaca Retreat Experience” (2009). She remains convinced that integration of the ayahuasca experience is an integral part of the journey.
