High season,  December – April, are the dry months with more sunshine and less rain. In January and February, there is no rain and it is very hot. This is the season when a lot of tourists come to Costa Rica.

Low season, May-November, are when the rains start gradually pick up. In late September, October, and early November the rains are extremely heavy, sometimes raining non-stop for days at a time. This is the season with very little tourism.

Costa Rica is one of the safest Central American countries. The people are friendly, talkative, and live by the motto “pura vida”. Like any other place in the world, keep your valuables close, and lock your car.

No. Our water is supplied by our own spring, which comes from one of the cleanest watersheds left on earth. Our water is alive, vibrant, and cleansing.

You will fly into Juan SantaMaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO). The airport is a 3 hour drive from our location. Review the “what is the best way to get to Posada Natura from the airport” section on this FAQ page.

Depending on which program you are attending, we recommend that you coordinate your arrival time with one of our team members, or your retreat facilitator.

You can get to Posada Natura by ground or by air.

Taxi: A taxi will cost $150. If you like, we can arrange for one of our trusted Taxi drivers to pick you up. The drive will take anywhere from 2.5-4 hours depending on traffic.

Rental Car:  If you choose to rent a car, we recommend that you do it online ahead of time. Also it’s a good idea to call your credit card company and have them send you a copy of the Damage & Collision waiver. This will wave the extra insurance fee that car rental companies charge in Costa Rica. Making your reservation online in advance will also save you a large expense. There is plenty of space for you to park on our property.

Travel by Air: From San Jose International Airport you can fly to Quepos on Sansa Airlines. These flights usually cost $60-$100. You will need to coordinate your main international flight separately from the Sansa flight through their website.  Sansa only flies a few times per day so make sure to coordinate your international and local flight accordingly to ensure that they will work together.

Upon registering for your retreat we will e-mail you a registration packet that includes a packing list.  You may also view our recommended packing list here.

We recommend taking out $200 in cash before entering the country to avoid international fees. In Costa Rica, you can pay for almost everything in US dollars and it might not be necessary to convert to CR colones. We have a shop of hand-made artisan goods and we accept credit card, cash, or PayPal for payment.

Arrival check-in is at 3pm on the start date of your retreat. Departure check-out is at 11am on the last day of your retreat.

Yes, let one of our managers know and we will arrange this for you. The cost for laundry is $5.

Yes. We have high speed wifi in our common areas. We ask our guests to use electronics for important matters only. Part of the healing energy we encourage is to reconnect to nature, quiet the mind, and listen to the heart. We ask you please keep use of electronics to a minimum to support the temple energy of our sanctuary, and to only use electronics in areas for their use.

We live in a very safe town. We seldom lock our doors, and are friends with our neighbors. However, if you would like to secure your valuables, you can leave them with one of the managers to secure in the office.

All deposits are non-refundable except in the case of a documented emergency.

Deposits will be subtracted from final payment.

We are unable to refund any and all payments after the start date of the retreat, except in the case of a documented emergency.
