In 1991, our founders bought 1,000 acres of rainforest to protect against deforestation. This project became a 501(c) (3) called Eco Era. Since that time we have expanded our wildlife refuge to almost 2,600 acres and engage in ongoing reforestation efforts. Our retreats and programs directly support our rainforest conservation efforts. Our profits go to maintaining our wildlife refuge, paying our caretakers, and giving educational tours throughout these lands.

You can learn more about our rainforest conservation efforts here.

Your participation in our wellness programs directly supports our ability to conserve the rainforest. A portion of our profits go to providing caretakers for our lands, supplies, and educational tours.

We are honored to be guardians of the rainforest and wildlife, and it is a great deal of work! We gratefully accept and appreciate donations to aid our conservation efforts. Please contact us at info@posadanatura.com if you are interested in making a donation.

Yes. We are a family owned business. Posada Natura has always been a place where children have enjoyed the beauty of the natural world, playing in the river, climbing trees and harvesting fruit. We welcome children and families to enjoy this space with us, and are honored to be a place where families can come into deeper connection to one another.

We offer tours through our parklands where you will enjoy the beauty of the pristine rainforest, waterfalls, natural swimming holes, rock jumping, tree climbing, fruit harvesting, and animal sightings. These tours are a wonderful way for people to connect to the earth’s wild, untouched, ancient land. We educate on the connection between the rainforest’s bio-diversity, ecosystem, watershed and canopy, while also guiding periods of meditation and silent introspection to establish a deeper connection and harmony with Mother Earth.

Excursions through our property on horseback or river rafting can be organized with independent companies. We are also available to advise on tours and excursions for popular sites in our area such as zip-line, waterfall tours, scuba diving and other ocean-related excursions.

We use alcohol, tobacco, and other plant medicine ceremonially as a form of ritual prayer and sacred offering. We do not support the recreational use of these substances, and request that they are not used in such way within our sanctuary.
